Days of greetings and smiles turn into days of sorrow and sadness Heroes Never Die: Eternal memory to Ruslan BoykoHeroes Never Die: Eternal memory to Ruslan BoykoHeroes Never Die: Eternal memory to Ruslan Boyko
Today has become one of those days upon hearing the news that a graduate of the PFEE department, Ruslan Boyko (MTOTu-19-1 group), was killed in action near Lypsti (Kharkiv region) while carrying out a combat mission as part of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Khartia.”
Ruslan served as a rigger in the evacuation unit of the technical support platoon of the 1st Operational Battalion of Military Unit 3102 of the National Guard of Ukraine. His heroism and dedication deserve the highest respect.
In February 2024, under intense shelling, Ruslan delivered ammunition to the front lines, which helped repel enemy attacks. In early spring, despite a back injury, he evacuated seven wounded soldiers from the Serebrianske forest. In May, under constant shelling in the Kharkiv region, and despite a concussion, he rescued his wounded comrades from the battlefield. During a kamikaze drone attack, risking his life, Ruslan transported a seriously injured comrade to the hospital in less than seven minutes.
During his service, Ruslan saved over 70 comrades. For his merits, he was awarded the “For the Defense of Ukraine” medal by the President of Ukraine.
The faculty, friends, classmates, and parents appeal to everyone who cares to sign a petition to the President of Ukraine to posthumously award the honorary title of Hero of Ukraine to soldier Ruslan Boyko (22.09.2000-31.08.2024).
