Commemoration of the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism
08.05.2025
Today, on May 8, we commemorate the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism — a date when Europe remembers the victims of the deadliest war in human history and marks the triumph over the totalitarian regime that brought untold suffering and destruction.
For Ukraine, this day carries profound meaning. We remember all who fought against Nazism, those who perished on the frontlines, in concentration camps, or under occupation. We honor the survivors and those who never lived to see victory, but brought it closer with every step they took.
Today, our struggle continues — this time for Ukraine’s freedom and independence. In our collective memory lives the courage and resilience of all generations who fought for peace. It is a memory that calls us to uphold the truth, stand for humanity, and resist any form of aggression or tyranny
