Participation Open: V All-Ukrainian Engineering Hackathon SmaRTF
The Department of Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering invites students and everyone interested to join the V All-Ukrainian Engineering Hackathon SmaRTF on the topic “SMART MILITARY ELECTRONICS 4.0”! This is a unique opportunity to “level up” your skills, propose innovative solutions in military electronics, and help our Defenders bring Victory closer.
Theme and Goal: Participants are challenged to create an invention – a device or system capable of changing the course of the war and assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), focusing on the development of smart military electronics.

– Offense (Attack)
– Reconnaissance
– Rescue
– Logistics
Award: The winning team will receive $2000 and valuable prizes from partners!
The hackathon will take place in three stages:
Stage I (October 17-19): Over 2 days, teams select a problem, propose a solution within one of the categories, and create a project presentation.
The 15 best solutions will advance to the next stage.
Stage II (until November 1): Teams must provide a reasoned Bill of Materials (BOM) and defend the details of the device/system implementation in an online discussion with the jury.
The 5 best solutions will proceed to the final and receive funding for prototype creation (compensation up to $800 per team).
Stage III (January 17, 2026): Presentation of the finished, functioning prototype and determination of the winning team.
This stage will be in-person (the venue will be announced later).
Participation Conditions:
Participation Type: Team-based (2-4 participants).
Age of Participants: From 16 to 35 years old.
Requirement: Motivation to help the military and an interest in developing their skills.
Each team will be assigned an expert mentor who will provide professional assistance and advice during the development process.
