PhD students from the PFEE department took part in the OPTICS Conference held in Yerevan, Armenia, in autumn 2024. Each student presented a poster and discussed their achievements.

We thank the organizers for the opportunity to participate and for the wonderful atmosphere.

Congratulations to Professor Yuri Sergeyevich Kursky of the PFEE department, who has been elected to the Scientific-Methodical Commission (Subcommission) for the Higher Education Sector of the Scientific-Methodical Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Subcommission E6 Applied Physics and Nanomaterials, as per Order No. 1745 dated December 17, 2024.

On November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom. For the eleventh consecutive year, this date reminds us of two historic events significant to Ukrainians—the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity in 2013.

During this great war, the day is an opportunity to reexamine our values, recall the history of our struggle for justice, and honor the memory of the fallen.

On November 20 in Kharkiv, a major event for Ukrainian science took place – the presentation of key aspects of reforms in the scientific field and the awarding of the country’s top scientists. The event brought together leading researchers, including employees of the PFEE department, who distinguished themselves through active participation.

The event was attended by Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, and Deputy Minister Denys Kurbatov, who outlined directions for the development of science and introduced new initiatives to support scientists during this challenging period of war.

The Faculty of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Founded in 1964 as the Faculty of Radiophysics and Electronics, the institution has undergone numerous transformations and achieved significant milestones over its more than half-century history. Congratulations and best wishes are extended for continued progress in education, research, and international collaboration. Appreciation is expressed for the contributions of all who have supported the faculty’s development over the years, including both alumni and current undergraduate and graduate students.
