17.05.2025
On May 17, the Department of Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering warmly congratulates all professors, students, PhD candidates, and researchers on the occasion of Science Day in Ukraine!
This celebration is a great opportunity to express our gratitude to those who work every day on discoveries, developments, and innovations, shaping the future of science and technology.

International Day of Light
16.05.2025
On May 16, the global community celebrates the International Day of Light, highlighting the vital role of light and light-based technologies in the advancement of science, industry, education, and culture.
For our department, this day holds particular significance. Research in optics, photonics, laser technologies, and quantum electronics is an integral part of our academic and scientific mission.
Light is the foundation of many future-oriented technologies — from fiber-optic communications and sensing systems to energy-efficient devices and quantum systems. Understanding its physical nature is key to innovation.
Today, we acknowledge the dedication of our faculty, researchers, and students who explore the nature of light and develop cutting-edge solutions that power the next era of electronics.

Happy Vyshyvanka Day
15.05.2025
Today, on the third Thursday of May, the department’s team wholeheartedly joins the celebration of World Vyshyvanka Day — a holiday that unites Ukrainians around their culture, history, and national identity.
The vyshyvanka is not just a piece of clothing, but a code of the nation — a visual language of symbols through which strength, faith, and memory have been passed down from generation to generation. Today, our faculty, staff, and students wear embroidered shirts to express unity and respect for their Ukrainian roots.
May this day serve as a reminder of the beauty of our culture and the unbroken connection between the past and the future.

Commemoration of the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism
08.05.2025
Today, on May 8, we commemorate the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism — a date when Europe remembers the victims of the deadliest war in human history and marks the triumph over the totalitarian regime that brought untold suffering and destruction.
For Ukraine, this day carries profound meaning. We remember all who fought against Nazism, those who perished on the frontlines, in concentration camps, or under occupation. We honor the survivors and those who never lived to see victory, but brought it closer with every step they took.
Today, our struggle continues — this time for Ukraine’s freedom and independence. In our collective memory lives the courage and resilience of all generations who fought for peace. It is a memory that calls us to uphold the truth, stand for humanity, and resist any form of aggression or tyranny

Initiative for Developers
28.04.2025
Renesas, a global leader in electronic components, invites our department’s students and faculty to join their Application Note development program based on the GreenPAK platform.
Through this initiative, participants have the opportunity to earn financial rewards for creating innovative circuit designs and practical applications using GreenPAK — programmable mixed-signal ICs known for their compactness, energy efficiency, and versatility.

Congratulations to the award winners!

ХХІХ International Forum of Young Scientists «Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI century»
17.04.2025
Today, students of the Department of Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering took part in the ХХІХ International Forum of Young Scientists «Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI century».
As part of the section dedicated to photonics, laser and optoelectronic technologies, our students presented scientific reports on current topics in modern photonics, including:
- physical principles of photonics;
- lasers and laser systems, optoelectronic devices (including those based on photonic crystals);
- the element base of optical computers;
- development of three-dimensional dynamic holograms;
- optical systems using microwave devices;
- quantum informatics;
- quantum principles and devices for information and measurement systems.
Participation in the Forum provided a valuable opportunity to share experiences, present research results, and connect with peers from leading universities in Ukraine and abroad.

World Quantum Day
14.04.2025
Today, April 14, the global scientific community celebrates World Quantum Day 2025, an annual initiative aimed at raising public awareness of quantum science and technology. The date is symbolic: 4.14 reflects the value of Planck’s constant – 4.14×10⁻¹⁵ eV·s, a cornerstone of quantum physics.
This year’s celebration holds special significance as it coincides with the United Nations’ designation of 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. This alignment enhances the global impact of the event, bringing together scientific and educational efforts worldwide to promote quantum knowledge, innovation, and future opportunities.
