Today, April 14, the global scientific community celebrates World Quantum Day 2025, an annual initiative aimed at raising public awareness of quantum science and technology. The date is symbolic: 4.14 reflects the value of Planck’s constant – 4.14×10⁻¹⁵ eV·s, a cornerstone of quantum physics.

This year’s celebration holds special significance as it coincides with the United Nations’ designation of 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. This alignment enhances the global impact of the event, bringing together scientific and educational efforts worldwide to promote quantum knowledge, innovation, and future opportunities.

Today, the PFEE Department held an meeting, marking the first in-person gathering of the team since the beginning of the full-scale war. Despite the ongoing challenges, faculty and staff came together to discuss current affairs and share plans for the future.

Key topics of the meeting included the upcoming rector elections, the current state of the department, and preparations for the admissions campaign. Special attention was given to strategies for attracting prospective students and enhancing outreach efforts.

We are pleased to invite all interested participants to take part in the international scientific conference XLV Max Born Symposium: 13th International Symposium “Optics & its Applications” (OPTICS-2025), organized by the University of Wroclaw and the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of PAS, Poland.

The conference will focus on current challenges and developments in modern optics, covering both fundamental and applied aspects. Key areas include quantum optics, photonics, nanostructures, spectroscopy, optical technologies, and interdisciplinary research.

Graduate of the Department of Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering, Volodymyr Yantsov, took part in the DOU Awards ceremony.

The company where Volodymyr works, Sigma Software University, won in the category “Best Non-Profit Initiative Contributing to the Development of the IT Industry” with its project Teacher’s Smart Up, aimed at improving the qualifications of educators.

On March 14, Ukraine observes Ukrainian Volunteer Day, a day to honor those who voluntarily stood up to defend their homeland without waiting for orders or coercion. These are people for whom honor, dignity, and love for Ukraine became a conscious life choice.

From the very beginning of Russia’s aggression, volunteers were the first to step forward in defense of Ukraine’s independence, proving to the world that the strength of our nation lies in unity, dedication, and an unbreakable spirit. Their bravery and sacrifice are a true example of patriotism for future generations.

On March 10, Ukraine celebrates National Anthem Day, honoring one of the key symbols of our independence, strength, and national pride. The words by Pavlo Chubynskyi and the music by Mykhailo Verbytskyi have become more than just a song – they are a true manifesto of the fight for freedom, echoing in the hearts of millions of Ukrainians worldwide.

The Ukrainian anthem accompanies us during the most significant moments in history: in times of hardship and victory, at sports arenas, in international halls, and on city squares. It reminds us of the power of unity, the resilience of our spirit, and our unwavering belief in the future.

On March 9, we celebrate the birthday of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko – a brilliant poet, artist, thinker, and a fighter for the rights of the Ukrainian people. His works have become an integral part of national identity, and his words symbolize the struggle for freedom, dignity, and independence.

Shevchenko not only depicted the reality of his time but also prophetically spoke about Ukraine’s future, calling for unity and justice. His ideas remain relevant today, reminding us of the power of our native language, the importance of education, and the resilience of the human spirit.

Today, March 8, we celebrate not just the arrival of spring but, most importantly, International Women’s Rights Day and the fight for gender equality. This day serves as a reminder of the long journey women have taken in advocating for their rights and the challenges that still persist in society.

Women play a crucial role in science, education, technology, and many other fields, making the world a better place. It is important to remember that equal opportunities and fair treatment are not just slogans but the foundation of a democratic society.

Today, a weekly meeting took place between specialists from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics  and students of Kharkiv Lyceum No. 153. However, today’s meeting was special for several reasons:

– Firstly, the opening of 9 new classrooms in the underground school.
