The invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022 has disrupted the lives and work of our Ukrainian colleagues. Scientists, engineers, students and educators in general have been displaced and, in many cases, their places of work have been obliterated. Many years of research efforts came to a standstill and the professional future of our colleagues in the Optical Sciences remain uncertain.

In this light, OPTICA Ambassadors from Ukraine invite the global scientific community to take a moment to review Ukraine’s current geopolitical situation and the far-reaching effects of Ukraine’s invasion thus far, as well as thank Optica’s continued efforts in support of Ukrainian colleagues.

Results of the competition

We have the results of the competition..!

But, everything is in order..

Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University (KHNADU) held the International Student Professional Creative Competition “Materials Science”.

The purpose of the Competition is the integration of Ukraine into the world educational and scientific space, the expansion of international relations, the support of talented student youth, the formation of a creative generation of scientifically active youth in the field of materials science.

In general, about 150 universities of Ukraine took part in the competition.

Employees and students of the PFEE department took part in the competition from KhNURE

Employees:

– Assistant Professor of PFEE Dep, Ph.D., Afanasyeva Olha;

– Assistant of PFEE Dep, Yana Sashkova.

Among the students of the department, Vitaliy Tsyvinskyi, Vitaliy Bohdanov, Oleksandr Rybinskyi, Yehor Sayenko, Danylo Rahubovskyi joined.

We would especially like to celebrate the winners! This is Mykhailo Yashin and his supervisor – Assistant Professor of PFEE Dep, Ph.D., Afanasyeva Olha with the work “Tempering of steels with low-power lasers of the UV range”

Winning the competition!

Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KHNURE) is a leading higher education institution in Ukraine with a strong focus on scientific research. At the 40th International Specialized Exhibition “Education and Career,” the Head of the Department of Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering, Oleksand Hnatenko Олександр Гнатенко , won in the “Scientific Research Activities of Higher Education Institutions” category with his work on “Development of Scientific Research and Innovations in the Field of Laser and Optoelectronic Technologies.”

KHNURE also received the Grand Prix in this category and was honored with the titles “Leader of Higher Education in Ukraine” and “Leader of Scientific and Technical Activities.” We wish continued success and inspiration to all our university researchers!
